“The Simile of Salt and Light”

How can we be a notion that prides itself on Christian morals and then blatantly ignore such a huge part of Christianity? In Biblical times it was law to accept those in need into your homes, give them food, water and shelter until they could move on their path.

Not only are we ignoring the scripture when it comes to helping those who need it, but we use the bible to discriminate and oppress different groups in our own country. Because of this country’s “Christain morality,” I cannot marry the person I love in the state that I call home.

Are people honestly so blind that they cannot see the hypocracy? How can the “Land of the Free” do this? This is NOT the moral system i want my children to learn.

This is NOT a Christian country.

This is NOT the land of opportunity.

What our country is doing to Mexico and othe Latin countries is genocide. Maybe not directly, but the effects are just the same.

I am ashamed of my country.
